DiamondBack™ HotEnd – Extreme diamond technology

The DiamondBack™ Complete HotEnd for the Bambu Lab X1E was developed in collaboration between E3D, DiamondBack, and Bambu Lab and is among the most wear-resistant hotend solutions on the market.

Thanks to its unique Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) nozzle tip, this hotend is specifically designed for printing with abrasive engineering filaments. Think of materials containing carbon fiber, glass fiber, ceramic, or metal particles that quickly wear down traditional steel nozzles.

The solid diamond tip provides exceptional wear resistance, improved thermal conductivity, and precise extrusion, making your prints more consistent, stronger, and visually cleaner.

Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) technology

DiamondBack nozzles use PCD technology, consisting of thousands of microscopic diamond crystals bonded together via a special binder structure.

This ensures:

• Extreme hardness of diamond

• Less brittleness than single-crystal diamond

• Ideal for engineering filaments with abrasive additives

The nozzle contains a solid diamond insert, not a coating.

Maximum temperature:
