Recommended print settings:

Nozzle temperature: 280 - 300 °C
Print bed temperature: 25 - 50 °C (no more than 50 °C)
Chamber temperature: 25 - 50 °C (no higher than 50 °C)
Print speed: 60 mm/s
Cooling fan: OFF

The print settings are based on a 0.4 mm nozzle and are indicative.

Print bed

PolyMide™ PA6-CF can be printed on almost any surface with a thin layer of PVA glue or Magigoo PA. We recommend a flexplate to make it easier to remove the model from the plate.

Nozzle

PolyMide™ PA6-CF contains 20% chopped carbon fibers, making it highly abrasive. It is important to use a wear-resistant nozzle.

PolyMide™ PA6-CF can easily damage a brass nozzle after a few hundred grams of filament. Hardened nozzles are more expensive than conventional brass nozzles. Therefore, it is important to consider the amount of material to be used.

Hotend

Polymaker recommends a full-metal hotend that maintains a stable temperature of at least >280 °C.

Annealing the parts

Polymaker recommends annealing all models printed with PolyMide™ PA6-CF. This allows the user to utilize the full mechanical and thermal properties of this material. During the annealing process, the model is placed in an oven at 90 °C for 2 hours.
